Serhii Lykhopud

Hello! I’m Serhii Lykhopud — a technical introvert and an engineer of thinking.

I have over 30 years of experience in software development and system architecture. I was the CEO of the international technology company Transparen, where I was responsible not only for strategy and growth, but also for the technical direction. For me, leading a company has always meant one thing — understanding the product at the level of code, architecture, and performance.

At Transparen, I built the technical strategy, led the development of complex software solutions, and personally participated in architectural decisions. Our projects combined low-level system work, performance optimization, and cross-platform technologies. It has always been important to me that business decisions are grounded in real engineering depth.

My specialization includes system programming, C++, JavaScript, and high-load architecture. I have a deep understanding of browser engine internals, virtual machines including V8, inter-process communication, and networking subsystems.

At Afina Browser, I am responsible for the technical side of the Chromium fork: architecture, performance, and the correct integration of changes into the codebase. We do not rely on temporary patches — if behavior needs to change, we implement it at the engine level.

I believe in engineering precision. Code must be clean, systems must be predictable, and architecture must be scalable.

When I’m not at the computer, you can find me in the sky or on a racing track. But even there, I remain an engineer — analyzing, calculating, and optimizing.
