Teams#
The "Teams" section is the main workspace for collaborative account use in Afina. The section allows you to create your own teams, switch between workspaces, invite new members, flexibly configure their access rights, and securely exchange accounts via cloud storage.
Location: access to the section is via the left navigation panel, Teams item.
Available actions:
- switch between personal and team workspaces
- track current plan limits
- create, edit, and delete your own teams
- invite members and configure their access rights
- accept invitations and activate access with a code
- transfer accounts between spaces
- transfer and receive accounts via Afina Cloud
Spaces and Limits#
At the bottom of the left navigation panel is the "Personal" information block, which simultaneously functions as a workspace switcher. It shows the type of the current license, remaining subscription days, as well as the number of used and available accounts and team members.
Click on this block to open the space selection menu. The "Personal" option opens your private isolated space. Selecting any team from the list switches the Afina interface to team context — in this mode, the "Accounts" section will display exclusively those records that belong to the selected team.
Team Management#
To create a new team, click Create Team in the spaces menu or directly in the teams section. In the window, enter a unique name and confirm the action. The new team will appear in the list immediately.
Each created team has quick action icons next to its name:
- "Edit Team" — allows you to quickly change the team name without going to other menus.
- "Delete Team" — completely removes the team from the list. Deletion is an irreversible process, so it requires additional confirmation in a window.
Invitations and Permissions#
To add new members, select the created team and click the Invite Member card. The access setup window will open.
Enter the email address and username. In the role field, specify their position, for example, Worker. Next, use the checkboxes to select the required permissions:
- "Start/Stop Profiles" — allows launching accounts. If this permission is disabled, the member will also lose the ability to download transferred accounts from Afina Cloud.
- "Add accounts to team" — allows the member to create new accounts and add them directly to your team.
- "Delete/Transfer accounts from team" — allows moving accounts from the team to the "Personal" space.
- "Invite members" — allows sending invitations to other people.
Important: during transfer, the account goes exclusively to the team owner’s personal space. A member cannot move a team account to their own created team. Also, only the owner has the right to remove members from the group.
After setup, click Invite to send an email to the specified address. The invited member’s card will appear on the screen immediately.
If you made a mistake with permissions or the address, click the "Revoke" button on the card to cancel the invitation before it is accepted. The team owner can also edit the set of rights for an already active member at any time.
Access Activation#
The invited user receives an email titled Team Invitation to Afina.IO. To successfully join, two steps must be performed:
- Open the email and click the Accept invitation button. A web page will open confirming the successful join.
- Copy the code from the "Activation code" block in the email without extra spaces.
After that, the member must open the Afina application, go to the "Teams" section, and find the new group in the invited teams section. It will be marked with a lock icon. Click on it, paste the copied code into the corresponding field, and click Send code. After verification, the team will become fully available for work.
To opt-out of participation in another user’s team or leave it later, simply click the exit icon next to the name of that team.
Working with Accounts#
While in a team space, you can move accounts. To do this, select the required records in the table and click the change team option. A window will open with a list of available directions.
Important for members: selecting the "Personal" direction during transfer does not mean copying the account to your personal space. This action transfers the account back to the team owner’s personal space. After that, you and other members will lose access to this account.
Exchange via Afina Cloud#
For convenient and seamless transfer of accounts between members, the Afina Cloud environment is used. This eliminates the need to manually send local files.
Important: for the owner to be able to transfer accounts to members of their team, they must first move them from the "Personal" space to the corresponding team. Only after that can accounts be exported to Afina Cloud for shared access.
How to transfer an account: Select the required accounts in the team space table, open the top export menu, and click Export to Afina Cloud. The data will be instantly uploaded to the server.
How to receive an account: The invited member must activate the required team space, open the import menu, and select Import from Afina Cloud. A list of all transferred accounts with the date of the last change will appear in the window. You can select individual rows or click the link to select the entire list. Clicking the Import button will download these accounts into the current team.
You can always check the download status and ensure their success through the "Backups" section.
Workflow Scenario#
Step 1: Create a Team
Open the workspaces menu in the bottom left corner and click Create Team. Enter a name and confirm creation.
Step 2: Set Up Access
Select the created team and click Invite Member. Specify the email, member role, and mark the required permissions for working with accounts.
Step 3: Activate Invitation
The invited user must click Accept invitation in the received email, then copy the activation code and enter it in the Afina app.
Step 4: Switch Workspace
After activation, select the new team in the space switcher. The interface will update, and you can work with shared accounts.
Step 5: Exchange Data
Use the export and import options via Afina Cloud for instant transfer of accounts between members without copying local files.
