Logs#

The "Logs" item opens the local folder containing Afina logs in the system file explorer. Logs are used to view technical events, errors, and system records that help diagnose the application's performance.

Location: the "Logs" item is available in the "Settings Menu", which is opened via the gear icon in the top right corner of the application.

Available actions:

  • open the local folder with Afina logs
  • view the application's system logs
  • find logs for specific modules, including IMAP
  • use log files for error diagnostics

"Logs" item#

The "Logs" item is designed for quick access to Afina logs without manually searching for the directory on the device. After selecting the Logs item, a system file explorer window opens with the local logs folder.

This item does not open a separate page within Afina. Further file viewing is done in the operating system's file explorer.

"logs" folder#

The "logs" folder is the local directory where Afina's operation logs are stored. It may contain individual log files and subfolders for various application processes.

The folder is used to diagnose technical events, check for errors, and share system records during problem analysis.

The "logs" folder opens outside the Afina interface. Viewing, copying, or transferring files is done using the operating system's tools.

Log files and subfolders#

Log files and subfolders contain records of individual parts of the application. The folder may display subfolders like "memory", "scripts", "server", "system-logs", "triggers", and specific log files, such as "imap.log".

For diagnostics, you need to open the corresponding file or subfolder and review the records of technical events, errors, or the operation of a specific module.

Do not delete log files unnecessarily. They may be needed for error analysis and reconstructing the sequence of events during diagnostics.
