Main Project Folder#

The "Main Project Folder" item opens the local Afina data directory in the operating system's file explorer. This folder stores the application's service files: profiles, cache, logs, extensions, modules, backups, and other work data.

Location: the "Main Project Folder" item is available in the "Settings Menu", which is opened via the gear icon in the top right corner of the application.

Available actions:

  • open the local Afina data folder
  • view the application's service subdirectories
  • access profile files, logs, extensions, modules, and backups
  • copy necessary service files for diagnostics or migration

"Main Project Folder" item#

The "Main Project Folder" item is designed for quick access to the local Afina data folder without manually searching for the path in the system. After selecting the item, the system file explorer opens in the directory where the application's work files are stored.

This item does not open a separate page within Afina. Further viewing, copying, or searching for files is done using the operating system's tools.

Do not change or delete the contents of the data folder unnecessarily. Manually editing service files may disrupt the operation of profiles, extensions, modules, or synchronization.

Service subdirectories#

Service subdirectories group Afina data by type and purpose. The directory may display folders such as "profiles", "logs", "browser", "cache", "cookies", "extensions", "modules", "backups", "keys", "runtime", "screenshots", and other service folders.

For diagnostics or data transfer, you need to open the corresponding subdirectory and select the required files. For example, the "logs" folder is used for journals, "profiles" for profile data, "extensions" for extensions, and "backups" for backups.

The names and number of subdirectories may vary depending on the Afina version, enabled features, and already created data.
