Databases: "Folders" Action Panel#

The "Folders" Action Panel is a set of tools in the top panel of the "Databases" section that appears after switching to the folder view. It allows creating new folders, searching for existing ones, and managing each folder individually through a context menu.

Location: the section is located in the left navigation panel, under "Databases", after switching to "Folders" view.

Available actions:

  • Switch between table view and folder view
  • Create new folders to organize databases
  • Search for folders or databases by name
  • Edit folder name or move it to another folder
  • Change folder color
  • Delete a folder with confirmation


"Folders" View Switch#

The "Folders" View Switch is used to change the display mode of databases from the standard table to a card view with folders. It is located in the top panel of the section next to the table view switch.

After clicking on Folders, the list of databases is transformed into a card view, where each folder is displayed as a separate block with a name and content.


"Add Folder" Button#

The "Add Folder" Button is used to create a new folder for organizing databases. It is located in the top part of the folder view and is available immediately after switching to this view.

How to create a folder:

  1. Click on Add Folder.
  2. In the "Create Folder" window, enter a name in the "Name" field.
  3. In the "Parent Folder" field, select the location of the new folder or leave it empty for the root level.
  4. Click Create Folder.

After successful creation, the system displays the message "Folder created successfully".


Search Field#

The Search Field is used for quickly finding a specific folder or database by name. It is located in the top part of the panel and is available in the folder view.

Enter text in the search field — the list of cards is instantly filtered to show only those elements whose names match the entered query. Clearing the field restores the full list.


Folder Actions Menu#

The Folder Actions Menu provides access to operations with a specific folder without navigating to other sections. It is opened through the three dots icon on the folder card and includes commands to Edit, Choose Color, and Delete Folder.

How to perform an action through the folder menu:

  1. Open the three dots menu on the desired folder card.
  2. To change the name or move, select Edit.
  3. In the "Edit Folder" window, modify the "Name" or "Parent Folder", then click Save.
  4. To change the color, select Choose Color and choose the desired shade.
  5. To delete, select Delete Folder.
  6. In the "Delete Folder" confirmation window, confirm the action.

After editing, the folder is updated in the list. After deletion, the folder disappears from the view, and the databases within it remain accessible.

Deleting a folder is irreversible. Before confirming, ensure you have selected the correct folder.


Workflow Scenario#

Step 1: Open «Databases»

Go to the «Databases» section through the left navigation panel.

Step 2: Switch to Folder View

Click on Folders in the top panel to switch to the card view.

Step 3: Create a Folder

Click on Add Folder, enter a name in the «Name» field, choose a «Parent Folder» if needed, and click Create Folder.

Step 4: Find a Folder

Enter the name in the search field to filter the card list and quickly find the desired folder.

Step 5: Manage the Folder

Open the three dots menu on the folder card and select Edit, Choose Color, or Delete Folder.
