Databases: Top Panel "Folders"#
Top Panel in "Folders" mode is a set of tools for managing databases displayed at the top of the "Databases" section after switching to "Folders" mode. It allows performing group operations on selected database cards: updating tags, pinning databases in folders, deleting selected connections, and refreshing the list.
Location: the section is located at the top of the "Databases" page after activating "Folders" mode via the display switch.
Available actions:
- select one or multiple database cards using checkboxes
- update tags for selected databases
- pin selected databases in a folder
- delete selected databases
- refresh the database list using the refresh icon
Group Selection Checkbox#
The Group Selection Checkbox is used to simultaneously select all database cards in the current view. It is located on the left side of the top panel and allows quickly forming a set for group operations without manually selecting each card individually.
After activating the checkbox, all database cards receive a selection mark. Clicking again deselects all cards.
Group actions in the top panel apply only to those databases whose cards were previously selected via checkboxes.
Update Tags Button#
The Update Tags to Selected Databases Button is designed for mass tag management of multiple databases at once. It becomes active after selecting at least one card and opens the Update Tags to Selected Databases modal window with mode and tag selection.
How to update tags for selected databases:
- Select one or multiple database cards using checkboxes.
- Click Update Tags to Selected Databases in the top panel.
- In the modal window, choose a mode: Add, Replace, Clear, or Delete.
- Select the desired tag from the Tags field.
- Click Assign to save the changes.
After confirmation, the selected tag is applied to all marked database cards according to the chosen mode.
Pin Selected Databases in Folder Button#
The Pin Selected Databases in Folder Button allows organizing selected databases by placing them in the desired folder. It opens the Pin Selected Databases in Folder modal window, displaying a list of available folders for selection.
How to pin databases in a folder:
- Select one or multiple database cards using checkboxes.
- Click Pin Selected Databases in Folder in the top panel.
- In the modal window, choose the target folder from the list.
- Click Assign to confirm.
After confirmation, the selected databases are pinned in the specified folder and displayed within it when viewed.
If no folders have been created in the section yet, the list in the modal window will be empty. First, create a folder using the Add Folder button in the folder management area.
Delete Selected Databases Button#
The Delete Selected Databases Button initiates the process of deleting all selected database cards. After clicking, the Delete Selected Databases modal window opens with a confirmation prompt.
How to delete selected databases:
- Select one or multiple database cards using checkboxes.
- Click Delete Selected Databases in the top panel.
- In the modal window, review the list of databases to be deleted.
- Click Confirm to complete the deletion.
After confirmation, the selected databases are deleted, and their cards disappear from the current view.
Database deletion is irreversible. Before confirming, ensure that you have selected the connections you intend to delete.
Refresh Icon#
The Refresh Icon is used to forcibly reload the database list without refreshing the entire page. It is located in the top panel and is available regardless of whether cards are selected.
After clicking, the list of database cards is refreshed, displaying the current state of connections.
Workflow Scenario#
Step 1: Open «Databases»
Navigate to the «Databases» section via the left navigation panel. Switch to «Folders» mode using the display toggle at the top of the page.
Step 2: Select Cards
Select one or more database cards via the checkbox on each card, or use the bulk selection checkbox in the top panel to select all cards at once.
Step 3: Update Tags
Click Update tags for selected databases in the top panel. In the modal window, select the mode (Add, Replace, Clear, or Delete), specify the required tag, and click Assign.
Step 4: Pin to a Folder
Select the desired cards again. Click Pin selected databases to folder. In the modal window, select the target folder from the list and click Assign.
Step 5: Delete or Refresh
To delete the selected databases, click Delete selected databases and confirm the action in the modal window. To refresh the list, click the refresh icon in the top panel.
