Browser Version#

Browser Version - a section designed to view available versions of the browser core in Afina, monitor their status, navigate to the catalog, and manage the installation or removal of corresponding builds.

Location: access is through the left navigation panel in the Browser Version section.

Available features:

  • update the list of available cores using the refresh icon
  • download and automatically install the selected version
  • completely remove version files from the computer
  • quickly navigate to the local folder with core files
  • sort the list by version number

Version Table#

At the top of the workspace, there is an icon Refresh to reload the database. The main part contains a table with a list of available cores, such as UA142, UA140, or UA131.

The table contains the following columns:

  • Version - the number of the browser core build. Clicking on the header sorts the list.
  • Installation Path - a folder icon that opens a Windows system window with files of a specific version.
  • Installed - displays the status using corresponding icons: a green checkmark indicates the version is installed and ready to use, while a red cross indicates files are missing on the computer.

To manage files, use the buttons in the far right column: the download icon initiates installation, and the trash icon completely deletes the core from the disk.

Core Update: since each version is a separate set of files, to update, first click on the trash to remove the old version, then click on the download icon that will appear in its place.
