“Main” Tab#

The “Main” tab is the basic settings page where key Afina system parameters are concentrated: “API key”, “Local API”, cache, profile icon badge, interface theme, window size, developer console, background tabs behavior, image loading, and global proxy usage rules.

Location: the tab is available on the “Settings” page, which opens through the gear icon in the top right corner of the application.

Available actions:

  • view the current Afina version and check for updates
  • manage access keys and local API
  • set cache limits and automatic cache cleaning
  • configure badge appearance and interface theme
  • fix the window size and select a monitor for launch
  • manage browser performance parameters
  • set global proxy usage rules

Version and Updates#

The current Afina version is displayed at the top of the tab. Next to it is the Check for updates button, which starts searching for newer application versions on the server. If an update is available, the system will notify you that it can be installed.

API and Management#

The “API key” field is used to enter the secret key applied in Afina scripts and modules. The value is hidden by default, but the eye icon on the right allows viewing it.

The “Profiles Management API” block is informational. It contains the “Local API” field with a local address for managing profiles through third-party integrations. These parameters should be changed only when configuring local automation is required.

Cache Settings#

The “Max cache size (MB) per account” field sets the disk space limit in megabytes for one profile. A higher value allows storing more data but increases the overall disk load.

The “Automatic Cache Cleaning” switch enables regular deletion of temporary files. After it is enabled, an additional field appears for specifying the exact time of the daily cleaning procedure.

Automatic cache cleaning may slightly slow down the first page load in profiles the next day because part of the browser data will need to be loaded again.

Visuals and Interface#

Badge parameters control the information displayed on the profile icon. You can choose the display type between “Name” and “ID”, set the maximum number of characters in “Badge text length”, and define how long text is truncated in “Truncate icon”: Left, Right, or Center.

The “Choose theme” list allows switching the overall visual style of the application between light and dark themes.

The “Always use the window size from settings” checkbox locks browser launch parameters. If enabled, you can strictly set the starting resolution in “Window size” and select a specific “Monitor” for opening new profiles.

If this parameter is enabled, the browser will always start with the size specified here. If it is disabled, the window will restore the size and position used when the profile was last closed.

Performance and Proxy#

Performance switches allow fine-tuning the browser environment:

  • “Enable console” — allows opening developer tools in Afina Browser. It is recommended to keep this switch disabled for everyday work to minimize the risk of profile detection by anti-fraud systems. Enable it only when needed for debugging or testing.
  • “Disable background tabs throttling” — keeps background tabs active without browser speed restrictions.
  • “Disable image loading” — blocks image loading to save traffic.

The global proxy rules block allows making proxy usage mandatory for all launches, fully disabling proxy support in the system, or enabling strict blocking if the connection country changes unexpectedly.

The required proxy mode and full proxy refusal mode are mutually exclusive. Enabling one automatically disables the other. All changes made on the page are applied only after clicking the “Save changes” button.
