Task Groups: "Folders" Top Panel#
The "Folders" option is a view mode for the "Task Groups" page that switches the table to a display of folder tiles and task group cards. It allows you to create folders, organize task groups into a structure, choose folder colors, and perform bulk actions on selected groups.
Location: The option is accessed via the "Automation" section, "Task Groups" subsection, top mode-switching panel.
Available actions:
- Toggle the display between "Table" and "Folders" modes
- Search for task groups by name via the search field
- Create new folders for organizing task groups
- Edit the name and parent folder of existing folders
- Assign a color accent for visual folder highlighting
- Delete folders via confirmation
- Start and stop selected task groups
- Pin selected task groups to a folder
- Delete selected task groups
"Folders" Toggle#
The "Folders" toggle is used to activate the folder view mode on the "Task Groups" page. It is located at the top of the page next to the "Table" toggle and allows you to change the task group display method.
After clicking Folders, the page rebuilds: a block of folder tiles appears instead of the table, and task group cards are displayed below. The top action panel remains available for bulk operations.
Search field#
The Search field is designed to filter task groups by name within the current view mode. It is located at the top of the "Task Groups" page and contains the placeholder "Search by group name".
After entering text, the task group list filters automatically, displaying only groups whose names contain the entered text.
"Add folder" button#
The "Add folder" button is intended to initiate the creation of a new folder for structuring task groups. It is located at the top of the folder block and is only available in "Folders" mode.
After clicking Add folder, the "Create folder" modal window opens, where you can set the name and select a parent folder from the list or leave it at the top level.
Folder tile#
The Folder tile provides a visual representation of a folder in "Folders" mode. It contains a folder icon, the name, and counters in the format "0/0/0", showing task group statistics inside the folder.
An additional actions menu icon (vertical three dots) is located on the right side of the tile, opening a list of available operations for the selected folder. If no folders have been created yet, the block displays the status "No folders".
"Create folder" window#
The "Create folder" window is used to set the parameters of a new folder before saving it. It contains a "Name" field with the placeholder "Folder name", a "Parent folder" dropdown with the default value "No folder", and "Save" and "Cancel" buttons.
How to create a folder:
- Click Add folder at the top of the folder block.
- Enter the name in the "Name" field.
- If necessary, expand the "Parent folder" list and select a parent folder or leave it as "No folder".
- Click Save to confirm.
After saving, the window closes, the new folder appears in the tile block, and a "Folder created successfully" toast notification is displayed.
If the "Name" field is empty, the hint "Name is required" is displayed below the field, and the Save button remains inactive.
"Edit folder" window#
The "Edit folder" window is used to change a folder's name or its parent folder after creation. It is opened via the Edit option in the folder tile actions menu and contains the same fields as the creation window but with current values.
How to edit a folder:
- Click the additional actions menu icon on the desired folder tile.
- Select Edit.
- Change the value in the "Name" field or select a different "Parent folder".
- Click Save.
After saving, the changes are reflected on the folder tile, and a "Folder updated successfully" toast notification is displayed.
If the "Name" field is empty, the hint "Name is required" is displayed below the field, and the Save button remains inactive.
"Select color" panel#
The "Select color" panel is designed to assign a color accent to a folder for visual highlighting in the list. It is opened via the Select color option in the folder tile actions menu.
The panel contains the heading "Select color" and a set of color markers. After selecting a color, it is immediately applied to the folder tile, and the folder is displayed with the corresponding color accent.
"Delete folder" window#
The "Delete folder" window is used to confirm folder deletion before the action is executed. It is opened via the Delete folder option in the tile menu and contains Confirm and Cancel buttons.
After clicking Confirm, the folder is removed from the list, and a "Folder deleted successfully" toast notification is displayed. Clicking Cancel or the × icon closes the window without changes.
Deleting a folder is an irreversible action. Ensure you have selected the correct folder before clicking Confirm.
Top actions panel#
The Top actions panel is used to perform bulk operations on selected task groups in "Folders" mode. It is located at the top of the "Task Groups" page and becomes active after one or more group cards are selected.
Available panel actions:
- Launch icon — starts the selected task groups.
- Stop icon — stops the selected task groups.
- Three dots menu — opens additional options: Pin to folder, Delete task group.
- Refresh icon — updates the task group list.
After an action is performed, a toast notification appears on the screen confirming the operation.
"Pin to folder" window#
The "Pin to folder" window is used to assign a folder to selected task groups. It is opened via the Pin to folder option in the three dots menu on the top panel and contains the "Folder" heading, a list of available folders, and Pin to folder and Cancel buttons.
How to pin groups to a folder:
- Select one or more task group cards via the checkbox.
- Open the three dots menu on the top panel.
- Select Pin to folder.
- In the window, select the desired folder from the list.
- Click Pin to folder to confirm.
After confirmation, the selected task groups are moved to the chosen folder, and a "Task group(s) successfully pinned to folder" toast notification is displayed.
Workflow Scenario#
Step 1: Enable Folders mode
Go to the «Task Groups» section and click the Folders toggle in the top panel. The page will rebuild and display the folder tile block.
Step 2: Create a folder
Click Add folder. In the «Create folder» window, enter a name in the «Name» field, select a «Parent folder» if needed, and click Save. The new folder will appear in the tile block.
Step 3: Configure the folder
Click the additional actions menu icon on the folder tile. Select Select color to assign a color accent or Edit to change the name or parent folder.
Step 4: Pin groups
Select one or more task group cards via the checkbox, open the three dots menu on the top panel, select Pin to folder, choose a folder from the list, and click Pin to folder.
Step 5: Manage groups
Select task group cards and click the launch icon to activate or the stop icon to stop the selected groups. To delete, open the three dots menu and select Delete task group.
