Overview of the Down Arrow icon and quick script launch menu from favorites in the Afina app

Down Arrow Icon - a top panel element of the "Accounts" section that opens a quick launch menu for scripts added to "Favorites". It allows you to run a specific script as a quick task on preselected accounts without navigating to other sections.

Location: the icon is located in the top panel of the "Accounts" section, to the right of the launch icon.

Available actions:

  • select a script for immediate launch on selected accounts
  • view the list of Favorite scripts

Down Arrow Icon#

The Down Arrow Icon is designed for quick access to scripts added to "Favorites" without navigating to the respective sections. Clicking on the icon opens a menu with a list of available items to launch on selected accounts.

To use the icon, first select one or more accounts in the table, then click Down Arrow in the top panel. After selecting an item in the menu, Afina immediately launches the corresponding script as a quick task for the selected accounts.

Quick Launch Menu#

The Quick Launch Menu displays a list of scripts that the user has previously added to "Favorites". Each menu item corresponds to one script and is available for immediate launch.

How to launch a script via the menu:

  1. Select one or more accounts in the table using checkboxes.
  2. Click Down Arrow in the top panel.
  3. In the opened menu, select the desired script.

After selecting an item, Afina executes the script on the current set of selected accounts. The result is confirmed by a system message with either "Success" or "Error" status.

To have an item appear in the menu, first add the script to "Favorites" in the "Scripts" section.

Workflow Scenario#

Step 1: Select Accounts

In the table of the Accounts section, check the boxes next to the necessary accounts. Quick launch is not performed without selecting accounts.

Step 2: Open the Menu

Click the Down Arrow icon in the top panel. The quick launch menu will open above the workspace, and the icon will change to Up Arrow.

Step 3: Choose a Script

In the menu, find the desired item - a script marked with a Star - and click on it. Afina immediately executes it on the selected accounts.

Step 4: Check the Result

After execution, Afina displays a system message with a status of Success or Error. In case of an error, the message contains the reason text.
