Import Button#

The Import Button is a top panel element in the Accounts section, designed to restore accounts in Afina from archived files. It opens a menu with two import options: locally from the computer, from Google Drive cloud storage, or from Afina Cloud cloud storage.

Location: the button is located in the top panel of the Accounts section.

Available actions:

  • Import accounts from a local archive on the computer
  • Import accounts from archives saved on Google Drive
  • Import accounts from archives saved on Afina Cloud
  • View import results through pop-up messages

Import Option#

The Import Option is intended to restore accounts from a local archive on the computer. After selecting this option, Afina opens the Windows system window for file selection, where one or more archives of supported formats can be specified.

How to perform local import:

  1. Click Import in the top control panel.
  2. Select Import from the menu.
  3. In the system file selection window, specify one or more archives in the .afz or .zip format.
  4. Click Open.

After confirmation, Afina initiates the restoration and adds accounts to the Accounts section table. The operation result is confirmed by a pop-up message.

After successful restoration, the message Successfully restored N account(s) out of N is displayed.

Import from Google Drive Option#

The Import from Google Drive Option is designed to import account archives saved in the Google Drive cloud storage. After selecting this option, Afina opens the modal window Google Drive Profiles Import, where archives selection and import launch are performed.

How to start import from Google Drive:

  1. Click Import in the top control panel.
  2. Select Import from Google Drive from the menu.
  3. In the Google Drive Profiles Import window, mark the necessary archives with checkboxes.
  4. Click Import.

Afina creates an import task and performs the archives download. The task creation is confirmed by a pop-up message, and the progress and results are displayed in the Cloud Downloads Journal section.

After initiating the import, the message Task for profiles import created is displayed.

The Delete and Import buttons in the window become active only after selecting at least one archive from the list.

Import from Afina Cloud Option#

The Import from Afina Cloud Option is designed to import account archives saved in the Afina Cloud cloud storage. After selecting this option, Afina opens the modal window Afina Cloud Profiles Import, where archives selection and import launch are performed.

How to start import from Afina Cloud:

  1. Click Import in the top control panel.
  2. Select Import from Afina Cloud from the menu.
  3. In the Afina Cloud Profiles Import window, mark the necessary archives with checkboxes.
  4. Click Import.

Afina creates an import task and performs the archives download. The task creation is confirmed by a pop-up message, and the progress and results are displayed in the Cloud Downloads Journal section.

After initiating the import, the message Task for profiles import created is displayed.

Workflow Scenario#

Step 1: Open the <strong>Import</strong> menu

Click Import in the top control panel of the Accounts section. A menu with two options will appear.

Step 2: Choose the import method

Select Import for local restoration or Import from Google Drive for cloud storage.

Step 3: Specify archives

Select files in .afz or .zip format for local import or mark the necessary archives in the list.

Step 4: Start the import

Confirm selection to initiate restoration. Check grid alignment and overlap alignment to ensure windows are displayed correctly.

Step 5: Check the results

Verify that accounts appeared in the Accounts table. Google Drive results are available in the Cloud Downloads Journal.
